Discover three great brunch spots in Krakow

Looking for a great brunch in Kraków? I’ve got you covered - here are three amazing spots that are worth checking out.

When in Kraków, you’re never far from a fantastic brunch spot.

My friend and I spent a lovely long weekend exploring the charming streets of Kraków - and like any good trip away, food was at the heart of it. Between wandering through the historic Old Town and soaking up the vibrant streets of Kazimierz, we made sure to start each day with a good, hearty meal. Check out my Kraków itinerary here.

Whether you're craving French toast, poached eggs, or a sweet matcha, Kraków’s breakfast scene offers something to delight every palate. And really, what better way to fuel your adventures than with a delicious brunch?

Here are my top three brunch spots in Kraków that you won't want to miss!

Where to Get Brunch in Kraków

1. Cafe Camelot

📍 ul. Św. Tomasza 17, Kraków

Tucked away in Kraków’s Old Town on Świętego Tomasza Street, Cafe Camelot is a hidden gem just waiting to be discovered. Just a four-minute walk from the Rynek Główny main square, this charming café is the perfect spot for a bite to eat and a good cup of coffee to start the day.

At first glance, I was taken aback by the beautiful interior of the café. With its pink walls, vintage decor, and soft lighting, you are easily drawn in by the charm and the history of the building. In the early 1900s, the café was once a brothel and later became a movie set for the 1960s film ‘Awantura o Basię’ (Argument About Basia) - and you can still feel that authentic and theatrical atmosphere in its interior and furnishings.

I went for the three French toasts topped with vanilla and served with fruit preserves.

Spread over three rooms and dotted with vintage tables, framed artwork, and glowing candlesticks, this café is such a unique space. And on the menu? You can choose anything from French toast to omelettes and organic porridge. As well as brunch, they also offer a wide range of cakes, sandwiches, pastas, and wine.

We went for the three French toasts - topped with vanilla and served with strawberry and cherry preserves - as well as a freshly baked baguette with avocado, sundried tomatoes and a fried egg.

On the way, we also passed the beautiful Church Of Sts. John the Baptist and John the Evangelist which sits just next door to the café!

2. Poranki

📍 Plac Bawół 4, Kazimierz

A line of people waiting to go inside the breakfast cafe, Poranki, in Krakow

There’s often a short wait for Poranki, especially on weekends, but it’s well worth the wait!

Tucked away in a quaint corner of Kazimierz (the Jewish Quarter), lies Poranki - a lovely sister-run café serving delicious breakfasts and homemade treats. Step inside and you’re greeted by a cosy, sunlit space filled with soft greens, warm ochres, and leafy plants that spill gently from the ceiling and windows.

Serving breakfast until 13:00, this little gem offers a variety of inventive dishes, from pancakes with caramelised apples, to orange-zest French toast, or poached eggs with roasted beets and chimichurri. The menu is short but saturated with flavours, offering two columns of sweet and savoury breakfast options.

We went for the bacon waffle and the orange-zest French toast.

I went for the orange French toast, consisting of homemade milk bread, vanilla mascarpone, homemade cherry jam, fresh fruits, roasted pistachios, and maple syrup. As you can see below, it was almost as big as my head! My friend went for the bacon waffle, which came with two poached eggs, bacon, spinach, hollandaise sauce, and pea shoots. They were both as delicious as they looked!

They also have a lovely array of baked goods to try, from brownies and tarts to different cheesecakes.

Poranki is no secret, though - there’s often a short wait outside, especially on weekends. But once you’re seated and tucking into something delicious, you’ll quickly see it’s so worth the wait!

3. LAS Breakfast & Prosecco

📍 Gołębia 5, Old Town

LAS is a beautifully decorated space boasting exposed brick, hanging foliage, and a warm-toned interior.

On our final day, we visited LAS - a stylish brunch spot tucked just off the Rynek Główny main square. Known for its breakfasts and baked goods, LAS offers a tasty menu alongside a range of coffee, cocktails, prosecco, and wines.

Las’ - meaning forest in Polish - is a beautifully decorated space boasting exposed brick, hanging foliage, and a warm-toned interior. Alongside its modern design, the café has a warm, welcoming atmosphere - perfect for a slow brunch or a girly catch-up with friends.

In terms of the menu, they offer a variety of sweet and savoury options, from Turkish eggs to breakfast burgers or French toast. I went for the Madame Monte Christo - one of their bestsellers - which consists of butter toast with ham, cheese, honey mustard, a fried egg, topped with spring onions and served with a salad and a blackberry sauce. I washed it down with a pistachio latte (I couldn’t resist!), and both the food and the service were spot on.

Just like many great spots in Kraków, LAS is incredibly popular - especially on weekends - so it’s a good idea to arrive a bit earlier if you want to avoid a long wait!

During our stay in Kraków, we discovered a little spot that quickly became our go-to for a quick coffee or matcha - Knitted Coffee.

Knitted Coffee is a family-run business that beautifully blends two passions: coffee and knitting. Alongside their delicious beverages - from flat whites to refreshing matchas - they also offer a range of handmade knitted products, including crochet kits and cute knitted baskets.

They have four locations across Kraków, and we found ourselves frequenting their Kazimierz venue, nestled within the vibrant Judah Food Market that boasts an eclectic mix of street food vendors. If you’re a matcha lover, I’d highly recommend trying their vanilla iced matcha - it had the perfect amount of sweetness. So good in fact that I had to get another one the very next day!
