Boho Skirts & Berry Hues: The Sicily Edit
From lace details to floral prints, find out how I styled my Sicilian getaway.
If there’s one thing I take extremely seriously, it’s my holiday wardrobe.
For me, a trip is the perfect opportunity to experiment with your style; to wear things you may not necessarily choose back at home. It’s the fun of matching your outfit to a new environment, letting your clothes reflect whatever beautiful landscape you find yourself in.
So, you can imagine my excitement when I started planning my trip to Sicily. I could already visualise it in my head: the rich mob wife aesthetic, crisp white linen, cat-eye sunglasses, flowing bohemian skirts, and chunky gold jewellery clinking over an Aperol Spritz. Sicily has this innate, cinematic glamour that practically begs you to dress up for it, and I did exactly that.
Here is my summer holiday wardrobe: the Sicily Edit.
Bohemian Chic
Wandering through Taormina, a hilltop town on the east coast of Sicily, it’s impossible not to fall in love with the rustic, traditional charm hidden in its stone alleyways. I knew I wanted a look that was comfortable, yet chic; blending that sense of history with old Italian glamour. (See my Taormina itinerary here.)
To do so, I paired a crisp white halter top with a khaki bohemian maxi skirt that moved beautifully with every step. To introduce a touch of Sicilian opulence, I cinched the waist with a gold stone belt – the perfect gilded detail to tie the entire look together. I topped it off with my favourite gold jewellery, oval sunglasses, and a neutral handbag with a silk scarf detail.

Lacy Neutrals
There is a gorgeous, enchanting feel woven into the very fabric of Taormina. As day bled into golden hour, the energy shifted, and so did my wardrobe. For evening, I wanted something that felt soft, romantic, and a little bit vintage.
I leaned into the quiet luxury aesthetic, pairing a structured, tan corset-style top featuring a delicate ruffle trim with a floaty white maxi skirt. The intricate lace detailing along the skirt's hemline brought a lovely femininity to the look, and complemented the architecture beautifully. To anchor the outfit, I styled it with a statement gold flower pendant, a neutral shoulder bag, and strappy heeled mules.

The Hollywood Halter
To me, Italy is synonymous with old-money glamour, and nothing captures that sophistication quite like a simple white dress. The purity of white fabric against rustic Italian streets is effortlessly chic, and can easily turn a modest alleyway into a personal runway.
In the quaint town of Scopello, I wore a gorgeous white halter dress with a structured bodice and a romantic a-line skirt. To accessorise, I paired the dress with cat-eye sunglasses, brown sliders, and a raffia bag with a polka dot silk scarf detail. I fell in love with the outfit’s retro Hollywood silhouette – it felt beautifully Marilyn Monroe-esque, and brought a perfect touch of drama to the Sicilian backdrop.

Romantic Florals
One of my favourite things about Sicily was the vibrant bougainvillea spilling over every corner of the island. Cascading down buildings and framing cobbled alleyways, it brought a vivid pop of fuchsia to the rustic landscape. So, it felt only right to channel some colourful florals into my wardrobe.
As sunset faded into hues of blue, orange, and pink, I wore a rich berry-toned halter with a green asymmetric floral skirt. The top perfectly complemented the skirt’s print, making the pink petals stand out beautifully. To accessorise, I wore my gold floral pendant and heeled mules. The look felt effortlessly feminine, floaty, and light – a perfect nod to the natural beauty of the island.
